PRIORITY TO PUBLIC WELFARE: MINISTER YANAMALA

AP Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishna said that public welfare will be given priority this year. On Friday, he held a review meeting with Finance Department officials at his residence 2018-19 budget exercise. Speaking on the occasion, he said the new schemes will be introduced in the Budget by the government. Welfare, Agriculture, Youth, Women, Education, Rural Development etc. The rate of growth in agriculture is good. Increase in the industrial sector and services sectors will increase the state's revenue, he said. Our state is backed by the growth rate of the country in revenue earnings. Nontax returns are not inadequate. Forest revenue declined, revenue of Mines and Minerals are likely to be higher. A new policy on mines and minerals will be introduced. Transport, stamps and registries and revenue departments are good, he said. Revenue deficit and EAP projects were not funded. The Polavaram project will cost Rs 7,000 crore this year to Rs. Yanamala said only Rs 2,000 crore came from.

The CAG said Andhra Pradesh had a revenue deficit of over Rs 16,000 crore.The state government has agreed to the fact that the central government and state governments will give 90 to 10 percent share in the scheme and central schemes of the EAP projects.
