PREVENT ROAD ACCIDENTS: DINESH KUMAR, GENERAL SECRETARY OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT

State Government Secretary Dinesh Kumar has directed to prevent road accidents. There is a huge penalty to be charged from vehicles who are against the rules. The executive committee meeting was held at the Secretariat with the Department of R & B, Medical, Health and Panchayati Raj. CS Dinesh Kumar, who presided over the meeting, asked for details of road accidents on the districts of the state. Most of the road accidents occurred in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Kadapa districts, officials said.

To prevent road traffic accidents in the state. To create awareness among the people. Most accidents happen with the speed of the vehicle. The photographs of the accidents should be made visible to all. People will be aware of the damage caused by road accidents with the photographs. At the same time, the SES ordered a large number of penalty charges from helmets and alcohol consumers who do not wear helmets and seat belts. Often there are places where accidents happen and the warning boards should be set up. Often ordered the R & B officers to repair the damaged roads from time to time. Speed guns should be set up for prevention of high speed. The meeting approved a Rs 10 crore allocation for Road Safety Fund in the state. The decision to allocate district level road safety committees headed by collectors, Rs.2.11 crore to Panchayati Raj, R & B, Medical, Health and Municipal Departments. Another Rs 8 crore will be used for the purchase of equipment needed for road accidents. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretaries of the state government, Anuradha, Neerab Kumar Prasad, Poonam Malakondayya, Transport Commissioner Balasubramanyam and others participated.
