NEW PRESIDENT OF MYANMAR


Myanmar March 28(way2newstv.in):
Myanmar's new president arrived. 66-year-old Win Mint Myanmar, a National League for Democracy Party, was elected as the 10th president. He is likely to be sworn in tomorrow. Win Mint, close to Aung San Suu Kiki, got 403 votes. In all 636 members, 211 people were elected to the caretaker president UM Mint Seave. Vice President Henry van Theo lost 18 votes. Former President Hutin Kauve resigned from his post a week ago due to poor health. Voting was held in Parliament today. New President Win Mint was born in 1951. He graduated from the Geology subjects in the Yangoon University. Later he was acquitted in 1980.
