GREEN APPLE IN THE WEST

 West Godavari district farmers have now opened another new crop . The Western farmers who are trained  'to find where to get lost' are slowly looking towards other crops with suggestions from the Government to reduce the area of ​​tobacco cultivation. Some go to traditional crops such as mango, cashews, subabul and palm oil while others are focusing on the 'new green apple' cultivation. Some farmers who have already started cultivation are trapped in profits, while others are going  on the same route. Westbengal Area is known for commercial crops. Virginia tropical cultivation also extends to this area. In the wake of international agreements, there is a need to reduce the production of tobacco in the country in the face of rising restrictions on tobacco consumption. This has been a long way since the last few attempts have been made to direct farmers from tobacco cultivation to other crops.


GREEN APPLE IN THE WEST 

The green apple attracted some of the farmers who were alternate crops. The water's high percentage of green apple is said to be good for health. Their use is locally grown. In view of this, some farmers in the Gopalapuram mandal forwarded the cultivation. Green apple cultivation is underway in the hamlet of Thadapalligudem mandal along with the arguments in the zone. Green apple plants are imported from Bangladesh. The plant costs Rs. 36 per plant to reach the farmer from there. 100 plants per acre. Drip irrigation (drip irrigation) is diluted and fertilized. Acre is required to invest up to Rs. 20,000. Once the garden has been planted for about 25 years. The yield starts from the sixth month of planting. Acre yields 8 to 10 tons per annum. Presently the nuts are moved to the fruit market in Rajahmundry in the East Godavari District. There are up to Rs 10 thousand to Rs 12 thousand per ton. That means earning up to Rs.lakhs The harvest comes in December and January. Farmers say that they will have to pay Rs. 3500 to cut tonnes of nuts. In addition to harvesting and cutting costs, the acre has a maximum of Rs. 75 thousand income. Some farmers are now looking forward to green apple farming, as it is a lucrative one.
