The MLAs were sworn in Karnataka Assembly in the wake of a confidence vote. Protest Speaker Bopaiah vowed to all the MLAs who won the recent election. Yeddyurappa, who was the chief minister's post in the wake of dramatic developments, and Sriramulu who won the MLA on behalf of the BJP also sworn in as legislators. Earlier, both resigned from their MPs. Besides, JDS MPs CS Puttaraju also resigned. The resignations were approved by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan.
YEDDYURAPPA AND SRIRAMULU RESIGN TO MP POSTS
Yeddyurappa, who was nominated as Karnataka Lok Sabha member from Karnataka for the 2014 elections, and Sriramulu recently won the Karnataka Assembly polls. Sriramulu won from Shikaripura constituency from Yeddyurappa and Molakalmuru constituency. Prabu Raju won the MLA from Mandya constituency on behalf of the JDS. They were sworn in as MLAs in the morning and in the morning. So far from Yeddyurappa Shimoga, Sriramulu continued to be MPs from Bellary.
