The Union Defense Ministry has announced good news to people in Secunderabad. For security reasons, the Defense Department lifted military sanctions on cantonment roads without giving permission to the general public. A recent meeting was held to solve the problems between the general public and the military in the cantonment areas. The meeting was attended by Union Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, along with deputies of MPs and Cantonment Board of Cantonment. This meeting was held mainly on the closure of Cantonment Roads.
LIFTED RESTRICTIONS IN CANTONMENT
Chief of Army Staff General Bipin Rawat, Defense Secretary Sanjay Mitra and other senior officials decided to open the cantonment highways on this issue. According to the latest decision, the restrictions on 25 roads in the cantonment area of Secunderabad city will be lifted. This will result in relief for millions of people who do not have access to those areas. Earlier, military personnel were deployed on these roads and controlled traffic on cantonment roads from 10pm to 7am daily. However, the people have been upset with the recent lifting of restrictions on all roads in Cantonment.
