DRINKING WATER PROBLEMS IN 670 PER THOUSAND PANCHAYATS

Anantha 'is frightened with dreadful drought. There are 1,003 panchayats in district. There are 678 villages in drinking water problem. Water supply is provided by tankers in 357 villages. The water level in this district has not fallen in any of the 13 districts of the state. There are 2.11 lakh farmers in the district. Of these, 87,574 bores are dry. Mutts in farmers' farms have been included in destitute conditions. Water or 10 thousand hectares of mulberry and 5,000 hectares of dry cheese, papaya and banana have been dried up. Water is being drunk in rural areas. Farmers are struggling to meet livestock. The farmers in the village are buying water through tankers and unturned. The district has a population of 40.57 lakh. Dravida officials say that there are 7.72 lakh job cards and 40 percent employment. We will work for 150 days for each family. But the families who have completed 150 days of work in the district are not more than a hundred. If the family is four, the 'work' assigned to them will be completed in 25 days. And then immigration is not going to be available for employment.
