BANK EMPLOYEES STRIKE ACROSS THE COUNTRY

Bank employees across the country are worried Wednesday. Bank employees are conducting a strike to solve pending issues along with wage modification. 10 lakh employees of government and private banks participated in the strike. Banking services and online services have been stalled on the employees strike. On Thursday, bank employees will continue their strike. 

BANK EMPLOYEES STRIKE ACROSS THE COUNTRY 

The Bank Officers Confederation (AIBOC) said that all 9 bank employee associations are on strike. The ATMs do not work for these two days. On March 5, 2017, the WB agreed to pay a 2 percent hike in the wage bill by March 31, 2017, which the unions did not accept. It has expressed little disappointment. Since November 2017, a review of wages has been pending and demanded immediate review.Private sector banks like ICICI, Axis, Kotak Mahindra and HDFC have been closed down while 21 public sector banks have 75 per cent stake in Indian banking.
