Corruption in Indian Railways and Public Sector Banks Most of the public sector organizations in the country have the highest number of cases of corruption and irregularities. The officers who work in their institutions are indifferent to the degradation of these sectors. In this regard, the Central Vigilance Commission has revealed the details of the complaints filed by them in 2017 and the details of the inquiry. Recently submitted a report to the Parliament. On the other hand, the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), which expressed deep displeasure over the delay in the investigation of corruption cases, has ordered all relevant departments to complete their inquiry in six months. The CVC has been diagnosed with a severe delay in the investigation of these cases, as the officers did not specifically expedite the investigation and disciplinary action against those involved in corruption. In addition to completing the investigation of corruption cases, it has been at least two years of disciplinary action, and a case has gone on for eight years.

Last year, 23,609 complaints were registered, with a total of 12,089 railway employees. The CVC received 8,018 complaints against public bank officials and employees. The total number of complaints received by the CVC in 2017 is almost 52 percent lower than the previous year. In 2016, 49847 complaints were filed. In 2017, 23,609 complaints were received. This is the decline in complaints since 2011 (16929)! The CVC has already stated that 9575 cases have been already solved in 12089 complaints received by Railway officials. The highest number of complaints have been filed against Delhi officials in the state governments. In Delhi, only 969 cases were registered in Delhi in 2016. Last year, 6823 complaints were received by CVC. Direct tax department officials 2730, Petroleum Ministry officials 2,713, Food and Consumer Affairs Employees 1662, Coal Ministry on 932, Health Department 780 and Defense Ministry 682 Corruption Complaints.a
