Letter to the President and Prime Minister with blood. Dalits have further aggravated their movement by claiming that the Supreme Court has deteriorated the SC,ST Prevention Act. The Indian Dalit Panthers party activists have written blood to President Ramnath Kovind and Prime Minister Modi for protest against the Supreme Court's recent verdict. Those who lost their lives during Bharat Bandh were paid homage. The immediate ordinance was brought in Parliament and demanded steps to be taken to implement the SC ST Act.

The Supreme Court had on March 20 issued a defense of the arrests of the accused in the cases under the SC and ST Anti-Corruption Act. However, Dalit groups have expressed serious objection. On Monday, the Bharat bandh was violently forced to implement the SC ST Act. Clashes erupted in nearly 10 states, including Punjab, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. Though the central government has filed a review petition in the Supreme Court, the concerns have not been reduced. At least 11 people were killed in the clash over the dalit community.
