$69 BILLION IN NRI DEPOSITS TO INDIA

The World Bank has made it clear that the number of non-resident Indians settled in different countries has reached the highest level of total year to India. A total of 69 billion dollars was deposited by the people of Indian origin, the World Bank said. The share of non-resident Indians grew by 9.9 per cent. The World Bank has revealed details of how much their immigrant deposits are reported in the report on migration and development. The figure is high in countries with middle and low-income countries, with a net profit of $ 466 billion in 2017.

Last year, it was 8.5 per cent of their total deposits of $ 429 billion. Worldwide, these remittances grew by 7 percent to $ 613 billion last year. China ranks second with 64 billion dollars, Philippines with $ 33 billion, Mexico fourth with 31 billion dollars and Egypt fifth with $ 20 billion compared to other countries.
