PROPERTY TAX COLLECTION IS NOMINAL

In the city, municipalities and city panchayats, the collection of property taxes are being strained. The total demand is Rs.115.31 crore, so far only Rs 61.63 crore was collected. Piraparapuram Municipal Council is leading in the district with 74.5 per cent tax collection while peddapuram purapalaka sangham is at the bottom with 43 per cent. Within another month, the financial year ended up with 100 per cent collection. There is a suspicion that the tire of officials will affect urban development after the Center is mandated to finance 100 per cent tax collection. Local companies are required to collect 100 per cent tax on the guidelines. Local organizations have already been instructed that allocation of funds will be based on taxes. There is a continuous review of high taxes on tax collection. Within the next five weeks, progress in several local organizations has remained unaffected by the end of the current financial year.
