Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was once again elected as the Leader of the Rajya Sabha. The 65-year-old Jaitley's tenure as party leader ends on Monday. Recently, he has been re-elected to the Rajya Sabha from Uttar Pradesh. Rajya Sabha chairman Venkaiah Naidu said in the House that the appointment of Jaitley was second term. Speaking at the inaugural session today, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar said that he has been appointed as the Rajya Sabha Chief Minister of Arun Jaitley by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Newly, 41 of the 58 re-elected members were sworn in. Jaitley did not swear a member of the Rajya Sabha today. In June 2014, Arun Jaitley was appointed in the Rajya Sabha.
