Polavaram Power Project Executive Engineer explained the powerhouse works to the VVS Murthy team. The 960 MW Polavaram Hydel Power Project has been reviewed by the Accord Channel, Powerhouse Pit, Intake Structure and Tailrace Channel. Power project clay works in June and ending the powerhouse concrete works will be completed soon, according to MD Vijayanand. Three units will be completed within 40 months from the start of the works and since then the entire project will be completed within 58 months after completing one unit every two months. Polavaram Powerhouse is the biggest hydro power plant in Andhra Pradesh after partition.
