MISSION KAKATIYA IS NOT COOPERATIVE:  CENTER IRRIGATION MINISTER HARISH RAO.

Irrigation Minister Harish Rao said the Telangana government was not cooperating with the Central Government's mission of carrying out the prestigious mission. He spoke at the legislative council on Tuesday. The Minister has recommended the central government to allocate Rs 5,000 crore for the rehabilitation of the ponds, he said. But the Center has not responded. Chief Minister KCR and Finance Minister Rajendra along with him have repeatedly appealed to the Center, but there is no result. The Minister said that the Kakatiya program had excellent results.

 Minister of HRD Harish Rao said that 89 TMCs in Krishna Basin and 165 TMC's in Godavari Bases  have been increased due to restoration of ponds due to Mission Kakatiya. He said the mission of the project is to be appreciated from country and abroad. In the rabi season, The crop yield rose by 7.2 per cent. The crop yield is 4.1 per cent and cotton yield is 6.5 per cent. The increase in crop cultivation and crop yield is also remarkable. The capacity to retain moisture in the soil has increased. According to Harish Rao, the yield is about 4 to 5 quintals per acre. Only  70 percent of the ponds in the desalination ponds chosen by the Nab con can be only 3 to 6 floors. Water reserves of 6 to 9 months will be 20% of the ponds. In all, fish production increased by 36-39% in 2016-17, according to the minister. The average income of households in the area covered under the Acharya area is 78.5%. The increase in cultivation in the pond was increased, with the government raising support prices to the farmers in the market, with an increase of 47.4%. 63% of the ponds were not well before the mission was implemented, while 3% of the ponds were worse. Farmers volunteered for the maintenance of pond after successful implementation of the mission Kakatiya. Hari has said that the water had gone into the ponds after two consecutive cereals in the last 10 years and the villagers who had not seen water from their homesteads after the rejuvenation had been shaken by ponds. Harish Rao said that crop yields have increased significantly through marketing and marketing of grain and other crops.
