INDHRA NOOYI WAS THE FIRST FEMALE DIRECTOR

Pepsi Co-chairman and CEO Indra Nooyi is the first woman independent director of the International Cricket Council (ICC). Her appointment was finalized. The major reforms in the ICC have been made in June last year with the intention of widening the cricket market around the world.

The decision was taken at the General Meeting to have a female independent director on the board. Indra Nooyi will take charge from June this year for the term of two years. Indra Noi Harihana expressed her choice as the first woman independent director. From childhood, I have a lot of cricket. ICC Chairman Shashank Manohar congratulated Indra Nooyi on the occasion of his two-year tenure as the independent director of the company. It can be extended up to two years in a row for up to six years.
