The special CBI court in Ranchi found that Lalu was convicted in the third case in the fodder scam. Judge Justice SS Prasad, who was acquitted by the CBI court, The judge said that Bihar's former Chief Minister Jagannath Mishra had been illegally acquitted of Rs 33.67 crore from Chhabi Banda district (now in Jharkhand) in 1992-93. The CBI has filed a charge sheet against the Rs. 7,10,000 grant of Rs. 33.67 crore for fake allotment letters. The CBI court also convicted Mishra and Lal. However, the sentences have not yet been finalized. In the second case, Lalu Prasad Yadav has been serving a three-and-a-half-year jail term for fodder scam. At present, he is in the central prison of Birsa Munda. There are five cases of Lalu Prasad related to fodder scam. Lalu was sentenced to five years in prison in the first fodder scam case in 2013. Both of them have been sentenced to five years in jail.

Two persons were also fined Rs 5 lakh fine. Lalu has already been sentenced to three years in jail in the second case. Lalu was convicted in the case of withdrawing funds worth Rs 33.7 crore from the Chaibasa treasury. In fact, the amount allocated was Rs.7.1 lakhs and the amount of Rs 33 crore was taken. However, it is also Nitish Kumar, who is the former deputy chief of Bihar and Lalu's son Tejaswi Yadav. This is not the final verdict, he said. Lalu is convicted in two cases related to the same scam and has been sentenced to three years in jail. This is the first time that Jagannath Mishra was convicted. Lalu is currently in Birsa Munda jail in Ranchi. The CBI court has imposed a fine of Rs 90 lakh and Rs 5 lakh in jail along with three years imprisonment for allegedly discharging Rs 90 lakh from Devghar Khajana.
