Quantum cotton price was Rs 4550 on Tuesday in the sub-parcel yard held in the zoo of Bhadrachri newly-appointed district headquarters under the Khammam District Ankuru Market Committee. This is the highest in the season this year, according to market staff. Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh have been in demand for cotton. Quintall cotton is purchased from Rs 4300 to Rs 4600. It is estimated that merchants purchased 1500 quintals of cotton in the Zoologund subarmark yard.
