Maintenance of Panchayat Elections within a specified time frame
This is the same as in the last elections 34 percent reservation for BCs
20 per cent for SCs and 6 per cent reservation for ST's
In
addition to 1170 ST Panchayats and 1300 Scheduled Area Panchayats.
Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Minister Jupally Krishna Rao said
that all government programs will be completed in the deadline for the
panchayat elections and the reservation for Panchayat Elections will be
finalized by January 25. Jupally told the media on Thursday
in the Secretariat over the panchayat elections.

The process of
conducting elections for the past two to three months has been taken to
implement the elections in a full transparent time frame. Rural
calculation of the rural BC has been completed, as against the last
panchayat polls this time also provides 34 per cent reservation for BCs.
On the basis of population, SCs will have 20% and STs have 6%
reservation. In addition, 1170 panchayats with 100 per cent of the ST
population and another 1,000 panchayats in 1300 Scheduled Area areas
will also be reserved for the companies. Women in each category will
have 50 percent reservation. As a village unit, there will be
reservation of Sarpanch as a mandate unit for the Ward Member. Following
the elections, training programs will be held for 3 months for the
public prosecutors to provide awareness on the new Panchayati Raj Act.
The meeting was attended by Panchayat Raj and Rural Development
Secretary Vikas Raj and MLA Ala Venkateswar Reddy.
