AQUA ZONE IN DANGER

In recent times the aqua harvest has gained momentum. With the use of pesticides and antibiotics in Aqua, the sector has become increasingly dangerous. Its effect is on exports. There is a disadvantage from America and European markets. The farmers are complaining that irrigation resources are contaminated and agricultural land is unreasonable. The issue of aqua zones has come up. The Government of India has recently issued guidelines. It has also been approved by the state cabinet. The Government has issued guidelines for implementing guidelines in this phase. Aqua cultivated 18,000 hectares in Gila, whereas 12,000 hectares are permitted. Concern about agriculture is the danger of aqua cultivation in recent years. Farmers have been worried about water pollution and damage to agricultural lands.

The Government has brought out the special aqua zones system to encourage sustainable cultivation to overcome the inadequacies in aqua cultivation. Considering the village as a unit, studying academic and non-agricultural land details, survey numbers, geotagging and mapping based on the available revenue records in each village are taken into consideration. Water and saltwater areas should be clearly identified in each village in aquaculture zone. 

AQUA ZONE IN DANGER

Farmers cultivating horticultural crops and agriculture crops should be allowed to cultivate irrigation, to provide details of zones and to inform people in other ways. Agricultural farms, saline lands, mangroves, forests, forest lands, village requirements, land allocated for the public benefit, national parks and sanctuaries will not have to give permission for aqua cultivation.

The existing areas of freshwater aqua have been declared as aqua zones by the regulations. After submitting a decision on aqua zones in the district level committee of the collector, the proposals should be sent to the Commissioner of Fisheries for further approval. The Commissioner recommends the High-Level Committee after examining it. The government will issue a notification on the formation of Aqua Zones, as they are also considering the proposals. According to the regulations, aqua growers have to put their applications to the government through their own underwriting online.
