THE HIGH COURT NOTICES TO THE SPEAKER

The apex court on Tuesday issued an inquiry into the petition filed against the MLAs deferred from the Opposition in the ruling party in Andhra Pradesh. Mangalagiri YSRCP MLA Athula Ramakrishna Reddy petitioned to disqualify the defective MLAs. Advocate Ponnavallu Sudhakar Reddy issued a statement on Tuesday. Advocate Ponnavollu Sudhakar Reddy told the High Court that the Speaker did not take any action against the former Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada rao in the past against 19 defective MLAs, including ministers. The court heard the arguments and issued notices to the Speaker to file a counter in three weeks. The next hearing was postponed to three weeks. Complaint against lawmakers Sudhakar Reddy argued that the speaker does not take action even after two-and-a-half years of complaining against defective MLAs. The complaint agreed with the Speaker's timely response to the action against the MLAs.
