THE ONGOING PROJECTS ARE FAST HEAVILY DEMANDING CEMENT

Hyderabad, Jan 19, (way2newstv.in):
Cement has been heavily demanded in construction projects in Telugu states. New irrigation projects, new districts, new collectorates and other government offices are inevitable. Cement consumption is growing significantly in this order. Cement consumption has reached record level due to the new capital city construction, assembly, secretariat and irrigation projects in Andhra Pradesh, which has been separated from the joint state. The cement industry has seen a growth of 10 percent this year compared to last year.

THE ONGOING PROJECTS ARE FAST HEAVILY DEMANDING CEMENT

Industry sources have analyzed that cement demand is expected to be around 18 percent of the total demand for the next two years. About 50 percent of the total cement produced in the country is in Telugu. It is expected to generate about 60 million tonnes in Andhra Pradesh and 30 million tonnes in Telangana. Under normal conditions, consumption of 15-to 18 million tons is available in Telangana. Industry sources say that the rest of the cement is exported to Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh. The cement industry has suffered due to the abolition of large banknotes. Cement industry sources say that cement consumption has fallen significantly in 2016-17 compared to the financial year 2015-16.

This has resulted in a severe impact on building construction. The monsoon season is much more common in summer than in winter. Apart from these, various offices and government offices are also going on in the same season. The effect of cementing to cement manufacturers was expected to continue as the demand for cement as well as the impact of stagnation in real estate on its back. Even as new notes are not on the demand for the market, it has come down heavily on cement purchases. The Cement Industry is very much hopeful about government schemes like Mission Bhagirath and Double Bedroom Houses. The cement industry has assumed huge appraisal of consumption as it is believed that all aspects of drinking water, irrigation schemes, roads and other infrastructure have been revamped around cement requirements.
