India exported 4.97 lakh tonnes of shrimp annually from our country while exports from the state were about 3.02 lakh tonnes. Of this, West Godavari district has a share of 1,20,926 tonnes. In the production of fish, the state ranks first in the first place. The state produces 37.41 lakh tonnes of fish annually. It produces 7,06,300 tonnes of fish from West Godavari district.
