The Telangana government will provide the necessary cooperation to ensure state legislative elections in the State of Karnataka on May 12, the state general secretary, Dr. S.K Joshi said. Chief Secretary Joshi spoke in the video conference held by the general secretary of the state general secretaries, DGP and Excise officials on the Karnataka election in the Secretariat on Thursday. The Karnataka state general secretary told that 800 police personnel from Telangana state for the Karnataka election and the check posts in the border districts will be strengthened. The Department of Administrative Officers has ordered the issuance of suggestions for collectors and SPs of border districts regarding peaceful elections. 


The Likkar Shops in border districts of Mahabubnagar, Gadwal, Sangareddy, Kamareddy and Vikarabad districts will be closed at before 48-hour starts of Karnataka polling to the within five kilometers. State DGP Mahender Reddy said the additional DGP Jitender was appointed as a nodal officer. The convicts will be exchanged data and alert the jails department. Karnataka state general secretary Ratnaprabha and DGP Neelamani Raju requested that elections in Karnataka should be given the necessary assistance to ensure peaceful elections.
